Some days you just wake up on the wrong side of the bed. You know you have a million and one things to do, but you can’t be bothered doing any of them. All your motivation has gone and all you feel like doing is absolutely nothing.
We all have days like this and its really ok to feel like this once in awhile. I think its probably due to us over-doing things and our sub conscious telling us, “enough is enough, we need to recharge.”
Now, I could tell you to push through it, snap out of it, come on girl, power through, you’ve got this… but Im not going to. What I am going to suggest is a day off!
If you have things you HAVE to do (like go to work), then I’m afraid that you’ll have to put your feelings on hold until you get home. But if you have the day to yourself Id recommend you give yourself what your body and mind are asking for – down time!
A sofa day of watching movies, a hot bath and a book, a lay in… whatever it is that will help you to recharge those batteries.
A day of doing nothing is really ok, no matter what you see on Instagram!
Let your to-do list wait for 24 hours. Then you can get back to it when you’re feeling back on form and ready to give it 100%.
Self care isn’t just about eating healthily and exercise. Its also about taking notice of what you need for your body and your mind’s well being, and if down time is what you need, then take it!
